Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Friday paid an inspection tour of several urban development projects in Ismailia governorate.
Ismail visited Al Amal village, Serapeum siphon, and the project of the East Port Said Port.
Al Amal village is being planned as a model for other villages affiliated to the 1.5-million feddan project within the president's initiative to reclaim four million feddans.
It is scheduled to be inaugurated soon, with 2,500 feddans suitable for agriculture.
The New Sarabium siphon will be used to transfer water needed for irrigation and drinking in Sinai.
The channeled water will serve an area of 100,000 feddans to the east of the Suez Canal.
The East Port Said Port will be upgraded in cooperation with the Armed Forces Engineering Authority to allow ships to immediately cross the East Port Said Port instead of waiting for seven hours.
The project will help establish promising industrial and logistics zones around the port, thus contributing to achieving comprehensive development in the canal region and Sinai peninsula.
