
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail stressed on Sunday that the State is keen on taking care of workers and improving their conditions in all production sites.
Ismail, speaking during a meeting with Manpower Minister Mohamed Safaan, underlined the importance of conducting constant inspection of different installations to ensure their compliance with safety criteria.
He greeted Egyptian workers on the advent of Labor Day, to fall on May 1, saying they have a great responsibility towards their nation at this crucial stage.
The minister, on his part, said the prime minister will meet with representatives of trade unions Wednesday to know their problems and mull necessary solutions.
He said the ministry is examining some remarks to the new labor law to protect workers' rights and that it will be sent to the cabinet after Labor Day celebrations.
