
Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday afternoon.
At the outset of the session, the Cabinet was briefed on the results of talks held by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Kingdom of Bahrain, commending deep relations between the two brotherly countries and their keenness on enhancing them to serve the interests of the two countries and their peoples in all fields. The Cabinet was also briefed on the content of the telephone call received by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques from President Idriss Deby of Republic of Chad.
The Cabinet expressed its thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his interest in the security and stability of the Kingdom, stressing that the King's opening of the Project of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for Border Security - the first phase - embodies his concern and support for all sectors and their development with the latest technologies in order to intensify the efforts to serve and protect the homeland.
Then Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the results of his visit to the Republic of France, which came within the framework of the promotion and development of close relations between the two countries witnessing growing development. The Crown Prince expressed the appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and his own appreciation for what he and the accompanying delegation found of keenness from President Francois Hollande, Prime Minister Manuel Valls and officials in France to develop aspects of cooperation and enhance the level of coordination between the two countries towards various regional and international issues of common interest.
The Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohiuddin Khoja, said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session that the Cabinet commended the joint statement issued at the conclusion of the visit of the Crown Prince to France, which emanated from the bonds of friendship and close cooperation between the Kingdom and France, stressed the strength of excellent relations and their development in political, security, economic, financial, commercial, industrial, educational, and cultural fields, strengthened their strategic partnership to serve the common interests of the two countries and their peoples, and expressed the positions of the two countries towards regional and international issues.
