
Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, has promised to meet an official invitation to visit Iraq, an official source of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosed here today.
In a statement, the source said that on the sidelines of the international coalition meeting against ISIS which was held in Brussels on December 3, 2014, Prince Saud Al-Faisal received Iraq's Premier Dr. Hayder Al-Ebadi.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them and discussed the overall situation in the region as well as the current international efforts to combat terrorism in each of Iraq and Syria.
Prince Saud Al-Faisal expressed hope of the success of the current efforts exerted by the new Iraqi government to bring about stability and security to the country.
He pointed to the importance of the return of Iraq to play its traditional role as a factor of stability in the region.
The source said the meeting discussed efforts being exerted to re-open the Saudi embassy in Baghdad.
