
A mentoring program organized by the international Interpol to fight fake and illicit goods opened here on Monday.
The program, held under the sponsorship of Interior Minister Magdi Abdel Ghafar, comes as part of the Egyptian ministry's efforts to enhance regional and international coordination in the anti-crime domain, especially regarding information technology crimes.
The program will outline the impact of illicit trade on public safety and the role of the media in fighting counterfeiting and illicit trade crimes.
A number of Arab security cadres, representatives of private companies and regional and international bodies, Egyptian policemen and UN experts in fighting drugs are taking part in the event.
