
Head of the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Issa Qaraqe, on Tuesday said the technical committee of the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) has adopted new projects to rehabilitate and empower Palestinian ex-detainees.
The committee will also work on drumming up financial support for small projects in order to help the ex-detainees lead a decent life and overcome the post-detention challenges, he added.
These remarks were made on the sidelines of Qaraqe's meeting with members of the committee at the AL headquarters in Cairo.
Present at the meeting were representatives of the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs who reviewed a report on 117 projects carried out by ex-detainees and funded by the AMF.
According to the report, the projects funded worth dlrs 1.153 million.
