
Prosecutor General Nabil Sadek referred the health minister advisor for the secretariat of the specialized medical centers to Cairo Criminal Court over bribery charges.
The top prosecutor said on Thursday that the minister's adviser Ahmed Aziz, who is also an employee at Ain Shams Specialized Hospital, demanded a EGP 4 million bribery from the manager Ultra Vision Import & Export Co. and agent of BLOCK Laboratory equipment Alaa Ahmed Hussein Malek in return of allowing his company to sell 12 bone marrow transplant units to Nasser Institute Hospital - which is affiliated to the secretariat of specialized medical centers.
Ayman Abdel Hakim Ismail, who is also an employee at the hospital, was arrested over acting as a mediator between Aziz and Malek.
