The Political Security Agency (PSA) has accused Houthis of abducting General Yahya al-Marwani a few days ago.
Al-Marwani was abducted after gunmen stormed into his house in Sana’a on Thursday by armed men and taken to an unknown place.
In a statement to Saba, a PSA official demanded Houthis, also known as Ansar Allah, to release al-Marwani immediately and without any conditions, blaming them for anything may jeopardize the al-Marwani’s life or safety.
General al-Marwani was a director of internal security in the capital Sana’a, a post he has been appointed to previously by the PSA’s head and not by the country’s President, the official said.
He previously served as director general of the agency’s branch in Saada governorate during the previous wars in Saada and was doing his duty as his counterparts in any other governorate, the official added.
