The Public Utilities Workers Union froze on Sunday the membership of terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group members.
The measure comes ahead of the January 25 Revolution celebrations, said chairman Adel Nazmy.
As many as 16 members of the independent unions in addition to six members of the terrorist group were suspended, Nazmy pointed out.
He said the Public Utilities Workers union will take all necessary measures to suspend activities of the members of the terrorist group, noting that the union is listing those members to expel them after a circular from the cabinet that asked the unions to deal only with legitimate workers organizations and to disregard the independent ones.
