MP Mohammad Qabbani denounced in a statement Saturday the abduction of two Turkish pilots, and called on security apparatuses to safeguard the airport and the airport highway and for state institutions to handle this abduction case rather than turn it into a case of hostage swapping. "We call on the Lebanese government to ensure the protection of Rafik Hariri International Airport and the highway that leads to it as well as the protection of airlines including Turkish Airlines and its team." Despite the many reservations that Qabbani and his political team have against two electricity generating Turkish vessels, he also urged authorities to protect them as part of Lebanon's responsibility.
