
The State of Qatar has strongly condemned and denounced the attack which targeted a camp of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) at Gao area in northern Mali in which three civilians were killed and more than ten people were injured including 9 peacekeepers from Niger.
In a statement issued today, the Foreign Ministry stressed its denunciation of such acts which have no connection with human values and constitute an aggression against innocent people, confirming the solidarity of the State of Qatar with the United Nations mission, especially in light of the role it plays to settle peace and stability in Mali and to maintain its unity and sovereignty. The Ministry expressed support for the Malian people.
The Foreign Ministry also reconfirmed the denunciation of violence in all its forms and manifestation whatever its source or motives.
