
The State of Qatar has signed eight Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to supply the Qatar Armed Forces with important maritime equipment in the context of modernization and development processes taking place in the State at all levels, especially the military fields.
On the final day of the three-day Doha international Maritime Defence Exhibition And Conference, DIMDEX 2016, Qatar signed eight deals with the participating companies at QR 32.58 billion included a deal in the first day with the French Company Dassault Rafale worth QR 27.75 billion as well as ten contracts concluded at the second day at total value of QR 3.54 billion and the third day's deals worth QR1.29 billion, according to Qatar News Agency, QNA.
DIMDEX 2016 has attracted a larger number of 9,000 visitors and official VIP delegations from over 60 participating countries.
The signing took place on the sidelines of the Doha international Maritime Defence Exhibition And Conference DIMDEX 2016 held in Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), which concluded on Thursday.
Qatar has signed an MoU to purchase a diving support vessel between the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces and Nakilat Damen Shipyards Qatar (NDSQ) worth 42 million euros.
An MoU to purchase a number of Military Power Boat With Motor Interceptor was also signed between the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces and the Turkish Enterprise YONCA-ONUK worth 41 million euros.
The Qatar Emiri Naval Forces and the European "Zodiac" Company signed an MoU to purchase a number of Intrusion Boats worth QR 18 million.
An MoU for a Remote Sensing Station project worth QR 200 million was also signed between the Technical Affairs Authority and French Company Airbus beside a QR35 million worth's MoU on Mobile Radars signed between the Security Committee of the Armed Forces (CAF) Camps and Korean "A & K Partner" Company.
DIMDEX 2016 also witnessed the signing of an MoU for a QR 47 million project of electronic connection and integration of "Q01-100" aircrafts between the Steering Committee of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV)and US AURORA flight sciences Corporation.
The UAV Steering Committee and US Company L-3 WESCAM signed an MoU to purchase MX20D &M25 cameras worth QR 127 million.
A QR 55 million worth's MoU to purchase Aerosonde MK 4.7 aircrafts was also signed between the Steering Committee of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and "US Company Textron Systems.
