
The State of Qatar, represented by General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA), will host the 37th meeting of the Standing Technical Committee of the GCC Civil Retirement and Social Security on Monday at Shangri-La Hotel, Doha.
Director of Contributors Department in GRSIA Ali Al Kuwari said that the two-day meeting will review the progress of applying insurance protection extension system for GCC nationals in addition to several issues and topics on its agenda, topped by latest developments of qualifying trainers who is specialized in retirement issues.
The meeting will also discuss the joint programmes and projects and exchanging successful experiences and expertise.
On the sidelines of the meeting, an awareness meeting will be held to inform the Gulf nationals working in Qatar about the system's sign-up procedures, benefits, methods of contributions collection and objectives.
The GRSIA is seeking to identify obstacles that may face the insured in the future, and work to resolve them in cooperation with the retirement services in their countries.
