A session of talks between the State of Qatar and Tunisia was co-chaired by HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani and Tunisian Interim Prime Minister Beji Caid Essebsi. During the meeting bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of developing and strengthening them in all areas were discussed. The session was attended by the delegation accompanying His Excellency Prime Minister and from the Tunisian side by Foreign Minister Mohammed Mouldi Kefi, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdel Hamid Triki and Finance Minister Jalloul Ayed. Following the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and Tunisian Interim Premier witnessed the signing of an agreement and two memoranda of understanding. The agreement aims to develop a project under study in the city of Mahdia. The first memo was signed between the Government of Tunisia and Qatar Holding for the establishment of a joint investment fund and the second one was to establish cooperation in the area of minerals. The agreement was signed for the State of Qatar by HE Minister of Economy and Finance Yousef Hussain Kamal, and HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah and for the Tunisian side by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdel Hamid Triki, Finance Minister Jalloul Ayed, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Radwan Nouicer. HE Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani arrived in Tunis earlier today. He was greeted upon arrival by HE Qatar''s Ambassador to Tunisia aad bin Nasser Al Hemaidi and Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Radwan Nouicer.
