Qatar welcomes successful elections in Bahrain

The State of Qatar has welcomed the successful parliamentary and municipal elections in the Kingdom of Bahrain. 
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement Sunday that the elections witnessed a great popular participation and embodied the spirit of high national responsibility of the Bahraini people. 
The statement described the elections as an important step in the march of democracy and national unity in the Kingdom of Bahrain. 
The Foreign Ministry confirmed that the success of these elections is a reflection of the true desire of the Bahraini people to circumvent the government for the success of the leading reform project of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain. 
The Foreign Ministry also expressed hope that the elections will achieve further progress and prosperity for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people, renewing Qatar's welcome to whatever achieves Bahrain's goodness and prosperity under the fraternal relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.
