Re-elections of the first stage of parliamentary polls in Raml constituency began on Sunday after a court order considered results invalid.
The re-elections were ordered due to the presence of a disqualified candidate among the contenders.
Alexandria is among the governorates of the first stage of parliamentary polls. Voting in the first stage took place on October 18-19 for Egyptian residents and on October 17-18 for Egyptian expatriates.
Some 647,088 voters are eligible to vote in the Raml constituency, the second biggest one in Alexandria.
Sixty seven candidates in this constituency are competing for four seats in the parliament.
Security forces were deployed outside 84 balloting stations grouping 305 sub elections committees.
The coming parliament will be made up of 596 seats, with 448 seats elected through the individual candidacy system, 120 elected through winner-take-all party lists and 28 selected by the president.
