
Eligible Citizens affected by the downpour which hit Bahrain will receive cash aid. The National Committee in charge of assisting rain-hit people delivered the cheques to the Governorates which will hand them over to eligible recipients.In a statement today, the National Committee announced the official conclusion of its charity relief campaign. Led by Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) board of trustees' chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the campaign dubbed "Bahrain Solidarity" was coordinated with the governorates and the Information Affairs Authority (IAA).The Interior Ministry, the Islamic and Charity societies, the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, establishments, companies, municipal councils, citizens, residents and expatriates' clubs also contribute to the campaign.RCO Secretary-General Dr. Mustapha Al-Sayyed stressed the importance of the campaign in fostering the spirit of community partnership. Dr. Al-Sayyed paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, also RCO Honorary President.He extended deep thanks to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minster for their support. He also commended Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) board of trustees' chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa for his support and efforts.
