The border post of Sakiet Sidi Youssef (governorate of le Kef) has been reopened on Friday after the lifting of the sit-in staged since Tuesday by a group of unemployed youths. Protesters claimed the right to work and better living conditions in this frontier province where the rate of unemployment stands at about 25 pc compared with 18,3 pc at national level. The traffic in Sakiet Sidi Youssef recorded, from last Tuesday to Thursday, a complete standstill because of the protests of the unemployed youths who had blocked access to the town.
