A Jordanian security source on Wednesday denied reports about attacking an Egyptian worker in Jordan by the security apparatus in the city of Rusaifa, east of the capital Amman.
In statements to MENA, he explained that reports that were carried by social media on this score are groundless and bare of truth.
He explained that Jordanian security men had asked the Egyptian worker to show his IDs and when he tried to escape they arrested him. But nobody attacked or harmed him, he added.
The worker had been referred to court over charges of resisting public security men and was later released and went back home. The probe was held in the presence of a representative from the Egyptian embassy here, added the source.
