Governor of Jahra Lt. Gen Fahd Al-Amir said here on Wednesday that reviving the idea of neighborhood councils aimed to raise the level of services provided to residents of these areas and make them "unique".
Al-Amir said during his reception of mayors and members of the neighborhood council that reviving the idea of neighborhood councils stems from the importance of the vital role played by the mayors with the cooperation with residents in making their areas unique in terms of the services rendered to them.
He stated that such cooperation contributes to overcoming the difficulties and supporting the efforts carried out by the mayors and residents especially, "as we are facing a new stage that requires us to carry out a lot of work to accomplish the sought goals and objectives".
