Al Azhar called Monday on the Egyptian people to make the fifth anniversary of the January 25 revolution and the Police Day an incentive to work and build for the progress of the nation.
In a statement, Al Azhar greeted President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Egyptian people and the policemen on the revolution anniversary and the Police Day.
"The Egyptian people cannot be drifted towards the calls of sabotage and violence that are launched by some groups inside and outside Egypt," it said.
Such groups only seek to serve their interests at the expense of the Egyptians' lives and blood, it added.
