
A Royal decree was issued on Wednesday, appointing a new board for the Independent Election Commission (IEC), according to Article 6 of the Commission's Law No. 11 for the year 2012.
According to the Royal decree, former Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, Khaled Kalaldeh was appointed as IEC Chairman while Nazeeh Amareen, Samar Haj Hassan, Zuhair Abu Fares and Nayef Khlaif Al-Ibrahim were named as members.
Earlier today, a Royal decree was issued accepting the resignation of IEC former board.
Another Royal decree was also issued accepting the resignation of Kalaldeh as Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs as of Wednesday.
