
A leader of the Kurdistan Alliance, Mohsen al-Sadoun called for an "international intervention to support the Iraqi national and Kurdish will to defeat the IS to liberate Iraqi territory and to protect the Kurds.
He said in a statement today, that the IS gangs carried out retaliatory practices against religious minorities and nationalities, and it became clear to target Kurds in Iraq and Syria by the demolition of more than 60 villages and the displacement of Kurdish population in the region of Kobani.
He added: "These crimes against the peoples of Iraq and Syria in general, and the Kurds in particular, calls from international organizations, at the forefront of the United Nations and the European Union and the countries sponsoring projects of peace and stability in the region, to take practical move to hit this force and all incitements parties that refuse to obey the principles of democracy and peaceful coexistence among peoples.
