
Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council Fayez al Sarraj said that the council in coordination with Defense Minister Mahdi al Barghathi started contacts with all army and military leaders to set arrangements to start Sirte liberation operation especially determining financial and technical requirements.
In a word addressed to the Libyans, that was published on his media office website, Sarraj said that the political division in Libya led to mistrust between the Libyans and so "we seek rallying efforts to eradicate Daesh terrorist grouo in Sirte and the neighboring areas".
The council held a series of political, economic and social meetings that led to setting plans and solutions for the problems facing the Libyans, Sarraj said.
