Ahmed Al Qattan, the Saudi Ambassador in Cairo and Permanent Representative at the Arab League, slammed as regrettable the AL performance.
At a news conference at the Saudi Embassy, Qattan said unfortunately no step was taken with regard to improving the Arab League performance.
Also, nothing has been done with regard to amending the AL Charter and Statute, he added.
Qattan also criticized the presence of non-effective AL bureaus around the world, noting that the budget of these offices is nearly $20m, $19m of which are allocated for salaries and tenant fees and only one million dollars for activities.
