Saudi Arabia condemns Beirut explosion

Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the attack that took place in Beirut early Friday, killing and injuring a number of innocent people, said a statement quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA). "An official source said today that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia followed with great concern the heinous terrorist bombing in Beirut this morning, which killed and injured a number of innocent people." "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia strongly condemns this cowardly criminal act, and calls on all Lebanese parties to resort to the language of reason and logic and to give priority to the interests of the country," SPA said. "Saudi Arabia also emphasizes that the authority of the state and its army should be exercised over the Lebanese territory in order to stop tampering with the security of Lebanon and the Lebanese people," it added.
