
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has stressed its commitment to all international drug control conventions, reiterated its keenness on strengthening regional and international cooperation in this regard.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, SPA, this came in the Kingdom's statement delivered yesterday, Tuesday, before the special session of the General Assembly of the United Nations to discuss the global drug problem.
The statement was delivered by the Director-General of Drug Control and Chairman of the Saudi delegation to the session, Major-General Ahmed bin Saadi Al-Zahrani.
Maj. Gen. Al-Zahrani said, "We re-affirm the Kingdom's commitment to all international drug control treaties and we wish every success for this special session, and that the agreed upon document contributes to a reduction of the drug problem."
