
Saudi Ambassador in Cairo and its permanent delegate at the Arab League Ahmad ben Abdel Aziz Qatan received on Saturday a number of Egyptian ministers and officials as well as heads of the diplomatic missions in Cairo to offer condolences over the demise of Saudi King Abdallah ben Abdel Aziz.
The condolers expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Saudi monarch, praising his stances and backing of the Arab and Islamic nations and the Muslims' issues.
They also praised the smooth transition of power to King Salman ben Abdel Aziz and Crown Prince Moqrin ben Abdel Aziz.
The Saudi ambassador, on his part, thanked the visitors who were keen on mentioning the humanitarian characteristics of the Saudi king and his historic stances towards Egypt and its people.
