Saudi Arabia hailed Morocco’s participation in the Arab military coalition targeting Houthi positions in Yemen.
In press statements Thursday night, Saudi Ambassador here Abdul Rahman al Judai offered condolences to Morocco over the death of a Moroccan pilot during a mission over Yemen.
First Lieutenant Yassine Bahti, 26, is the first airman to die since the Saudi-led coalition began bombing Houthi rebels in Yemen on March 26.
The Saudi envoy noted that Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had said the pilot would receive the same treatment given to a Saudi martyr.
