
The Saudi Interior Ministry announced seizing an integrated explosives manufacturing lab in Riyadh.
The ministry's security spokesman said that the security agencies received information of great importance on an integrated lab inside a residential house in Al Fayha'a district in Riyadh city for the manufacture of explosive materials and belts which were about to be used later in criminal operations.
The lab belongs to a Syrian national called Yasser Mohammed Shafiq al Barazi.
In the same house, the security agencies found that a Filipino woman was living illegally with Al Barazi to help him in sewing and preparing the explosive belts and in his absence she used to wear an explosive belt.
The area was evacuated as house as a whole was booby trapped by the perpetrator with severe explosive materials indifferent to the lives of innocent residents and visitors to the neighborhood.
Al Barazi has also taken a second location in Al Jazirah district in Riyadh as a shelter for wanted persons by security authorities.
