
Saudi King Salman ben Abdel Aziz Al Saud had phone calls with several world leaders to condemn the Israeli dangerous escalation in Al Aqsa Mosque.
The monarch phoned Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President François Hollande, United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and British Prime Minister David Cameron.
He denounced violating Islamic sacred places and assaulting worshipers.
He urged the UN Security Council to take swift measures to halt violations in Al Aqsa Mosque and protect the Palestinians and Islamic sites.
King Salman also held a phone call with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the latest developments in view of the Israeli escalation in Al Aqsa Mosque.
The Saudi king also received phone calls from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani on the Israeli measures in Al Aqsa Mosque.
