
Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz on Saturday paid a visit to the Holy Mosque to inspect the scene of a crane collapse.
An investigation will be opened to probe the accident, the King said, pointing out that the investigation results will be announced to the public.
Also, the king visited the injured who were admitted to a Mecca hospital.
On Friday, a crane collapsed in the Muslim holy city of Mecca because of stormy weather.
Some 107 pilgrims were killed in the accident which took place at a time when hundreds of thousands of Muslims from all over the world gather for the annual hajj (pilgrimage) expected to begin on September 21.
