Saudi minister touts Kuwait cooperatives as model for social work

Visiting Saudi Minister of Social Affairs Yusuf Al-Othaimeen said here on Monday cooperative societies in Kuwait mark an example for social work and solidarity.
Speaking to reporters while touring Mishref Cooperative Society, the Saudi minister said cooperative work is not restricted to consumers' matters and needs but it should also include all social aspects in order to launch development projects that really serve society.
He also called on stakeholders in Kuwait to jump to fresh social domains so as to cope with renewed requirements and needs in this regard.
The Saudi minister stressed the necessity of developing cooperative activities so that low-income citizens can get access to low-priced commodities and services, hailing his country's experiment in this domain.
