Saudi Defense Minister Adviser Ahmad Asiri stressed that the Saudi-led Arab coalition in Yemen has been offering continued support to any positive step serving Yemeni people's interests.
In statements to Sky News satellite channel on Friday, he said Houthis should accept the United Nations Resolution No 2216 which calls for the Houthis to withdraw from areas they seized since 2014 and hand heavy weapons back to the government.
He stressed that the international community will not accept maintaining the current coup in Yemen.
The UN-brokered talks between the Yemeni parties started in Kuwait in a bid to find a way out of the current Yemeni crisis.
Yemen has been entangled in civil war when Houthis and Saleh supporters attempted a coup against the internationally recognized Yemeni government of Abdrabbu Mansour Hadi.
Almost a year ago, Saudi Arabia led an Arab coalition forces to back Hadi and resistance forces.
Twenty of Yemen’s 22 governorates are precariously poised on the verge of devastating famine.
