
Saudi Arabia on Thursday pledged to provide $100 million in additional assistance to Syria.
At the Supporting Syria and the Region donor conference underway in London, Saudi Minister of Finance Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf hailed the Syria donor countries.
Washington would provide $601 million in additional aid to Syria and $290 million in development assistance to Jordan and Lebanon.
European Council President Donald Tusk said the total EU commitment would exceed $3.3 billion this year.
Italy pledged $400 million, Japan $350 million, the United Arab Emirates $137 million, Denmark $100 million, Finland $28 million. China pledged 10,000 tons of food products.
