
Secretary General of Iraqi Parliament Ayad Namik Majid denied news which claimed that the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) would be postponed.
In press statements Sunday, Majib, who is head of the preparatory higher committee of the conference, said that news claiming that the conference will be postponed is bare of truth.
He also said that a number of participating delegations in the conference arrived in Baghdad.
The Parliamentary Union of the OIC member states (PUIC, PUOICM) is composed of the parliaments of the OIC member states. It was established in Iran in 1999, with its headquarters in Tehran.
