Security was tightened in the precincts of Cairo International Airport and all entrances leading to it on Thursday after the bomb blast in Nasr City earlier in the day. More security patrols were deployed on the entrances as each car is being thoroughly examined to make sure it does not carry any bombs. Cars are no more allowed to be parked near the buildings of the Civil aviation Ministry and departure and travel chambers. Today blast, that left five wounded, came one day after a booby-trapped car blew up near the Dakhilia security directorate, leaving 15 dead and more than 100 wounded.
