
Public Security Sector in the Interior Ministry, in coordination with central security forces, resumed its inspection campaigns in all governorates to combat thuggery acts, arrest outlaws and owners of weapons without license as well as restore security in the streets.
The campaigns, launched according to directives by Interior Minister Magdi Abdel Ghafar, resulted in seizing 100 weapons without license and 181 cold weapons.
The forces managed to retrieve three stolen cars and 848 motor cycles.
Forty-tow criminals were arrested during the crackdown.
The security bodies managed also to seize nearly 224 kg.
As many as five gangs were nabbed during the campaigns.
The security bodies took legal measures in each case and notified the prosecution to launch probe.
