
Security authorities continued campaigns in a number of governorates to crack down on outlaws and fugitives.
In the Upper Egyptian governorate of Minya, eight person were arrested for illegally holding firearms.
Also three drivers, out of 20 who were submitted to relevant blood tests, were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.
Seven fugitives were also arrested in connection with a number of separate criminal cases in Minya.
In the coastal province of Port Said, two persons were arrested for the theft of a sum of money and jewelry amounting to EGP 1.5 million.
In the Delta governorate of Daqahliya, 184 cases of illegal road occupancy were recorded, in addition to 2275 irregularities, mainly with regard to traffic and environment.
In Suez, an expanded combing campaign resulted in the arrest of 50 fugitives.
