
A high-profile security source has asserted full security preparedness to secure celebrations marking the 25 January revolution and Police Day.
In statements to MENA on Sunday, the source said Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Ghaffar held meetings with his aides for national security, central security, public security and information and public relations, to review the plan of securing the celebrations.
MENA learned that orders were issued to suspend leaves and day-offs for all security personnel to confront any attempt by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood to carry out acts of sabotage during the celebration.
A security source that the Ministry of interior, in cooperation with the Armed Forces, took security measures in and around the important establishments such as the TV and Radio building, the House of Representatives and power and water stations, as well as important squares to foil any acts of sabotage.
