Security forces in Luxor freed a young man after 24 hours of his abduction by unidentified persons.
The kidnappers had contacted the man’s father calling for an EGP 150,000 ransom for his release and threatened to kill the man if the sum was not paid.
Security efforts led to identifying the five kidnappers, with the last one leading security men to the abductee’s place.
The man was found tied up and blindfolded in an apartment. He had a cut wound in the chest and had been tortured and electrocuted by the kidnappers.
Two of the kidnappers were arrested, while the remaining three are still on the run.
