
Security bodies in Minya have geared up for anticipated protests called for by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood in the anniversary of the January 25 revolution.
Security chief Osama Metwaly said on Saturday security patrols were deployed to bridges and traffic hubs linking the city with other governorates.
"All sectors of the security directorate were put on high alert," he stressed.
In Qalioubiya, Security chief Mahmoud Youssri said that the emergency state has been declared in all police stations in the governorate, and security measures have been tightened around the city hall and vital facilities.
