
Thirteen Egyptian Copts have been kidnapped in Sirte, a local security source in the Libyan city confirmed Saturday.
All 13 workers are from the Upper Egyptian city of Minya, the source said.
Extremist militias stormed a residential compound in Sirte, west of Tripoli, early Saturday and led the Egyptian Coptic workers to an unknown destination, the source added.
The kidnapped workers are: Maged Seliman, Abanob Attiya, Youssef Shoukry, Hani Abdel Masih, Kirolos Fawzy, Milad Zaki, Tawadros Youssef, Samuel Kamel, Bishoy Kamel, Mina Aziz, Malak Ibrahim, Gerges Milad and Bishoy Adel.
