
Senate President, Faisal al-Fayez, on Sunday, and senior officials in the Kingdom of Bahrain, discussed ways to cement bilateral relation in political, economic and parliamentary fields.
The meeting was held as part of Al-Fayez's visit a head of a Senates delegation upon an official invitation by Bahrain's Consultative (Shura) Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh.
Al-Fayez and Al-Saleh discussed bilateral relation and stressed keenness to further promote them in various fields.
They also emphasized the importance of raising the level of cooperation between Jordan's Senate and Bahrain's Consultative Council, to serve common interests, efforts and stances in the various Arab and international parliamentary forums.
The Senate President voiced Jordan's rejection of interfering in Bahrain's affairs, stressing his respect of the |Gulf Kingdom's sovereignty, and the importance of preserving its security and stability.
Al Fayez tackled local and regional issues, particularly Jordan's reform process, refugees, economy and investments as well as efforts to counter terrorism, terrorist organizations and the Palestinian issue.
The Bahraini official expressed his appreciation for Jordan's supportive stances toward Bahrain in all circumstances and its keenness on the Kingdom's security and stability.
Al Saleh said Bahrain looks forward to promoting its relations with Jordan in various fields, affirming his country's support for Jordan's security and stability.
Al Fayes also met with Speaker of Bahrain Council of Representatives, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, who called for continued consultation between Jordan and Bahrain and exchanging experiences and visits, specially the parliamentary ones.
Also, the Senate President met with the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
On Monday, the Senate President will continue his official meetings with a number of Bahraini officials.
