Shaikh bin Abdulla meets governors

Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa today chaired a meeting with the governors, in the presence of Public Security Chief and police general directors. He urged the governorates to exercise their duties with the framework of the law, describing the role of the governor as the crucial link between citizens and the government. “Under the law on governorates, the governor is the representative of the executive branch of government”, the minister said, stressing the need to translate the governors’ prerogatives on the ground.
