
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, today performed the funeral prayer for the nation's martyr, Mohammed Obeid Al Hamoudi, at Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed Al Qasimi Mosque in Dibba Al Hisn city.
The serviceman fell in Yemen while carrying out his national duty as part of Operation Restoring Hope, being conducted by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to back Yemen's legitimate government.
Performing the prayer along with H.H. Sheikh Abdullah were Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of Department of Seaports and Customs, Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Ruler's Office, a number of top officials, senior officers and personnel of the armed and police forces and a crowd of mourners.
The martyr was then laid to rest at Shiqiriya Cemetery in Dibba Hisn.
The mourners prayed to Allah Almighty to rest his soul in Paradise and to grant patience and solace to his family.
