Sharqiya police arrest bankgoer robbery gang

Sharqiya police arrested a foreign gang known for stealing bank clients.

The crackdown on the criminal gang was launched following the robbery of 100,000 pounds from a man after withdrawing it from a Cairo bank.

The man told police that he withdrew the sum from the bank then he went to one of the factories to finish some work, leaving the money behind in the car.

When he came back, he found that the glass window of the car was broken and that the money was stolen.

An investigation was launched that ended by the arrest of five foreign nationals.

Police seized 131,900 pounds and 3,220 dollars that were in their possession as well as the car they use in robbery.

They admitted that they follow bank clients and then rob them.
