Kuwait First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah held talks with Moroccan Prime Minister Abdulilah Benkirane bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.
The talks dealt with regional and international issues particularly the Palestinian cause, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled told KUNA after emerging from the meeting.
He said they shared views over Palestine and Jerusalem. He noted that Moroccan King Mohammad VI chaied OIC's Al-Quds Committee while Kuwait holds rotating presidency of the Arab Summit and the Arab peace initiative.
"We highly appreciate the role of Morocco vis-a-vis regional and international issues," said Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled.
He added the talks dealt with means of ending the Israeli occupation and creation of the state of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital, in line with UN resolutions.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled is visiting Rabat to co-chair the joint Kuwaiti-Moroccan higher committee with Foreign Minister Salahuddine Mezouar.
The senior Kuwaiti official is accompanied by Abdulwahab Al-Bader, Director General of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), and the director of his office Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Mohammad Al-Sabah.
This is Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled's second leg of a tour that included Senegal. He will also travel to Spain and Germany.
