Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Mahmoud Hegazy held on Tuesday a meeting with Speaker of the Libyan parliament Aguila Saleh.
They discussed the latest developments in Libya and efforts exerted to solve the Libyan crisis.
Saleh praised the role played by Egypt to maintain Libya's stability and meet aspirations of the Libyan people.
He stressed that the Libyan parliament would hold a session to review points of differences mentioned in Cairo Declaration, which was issued on December 13.
Saleh also called for supporting national reconciliation efforts aimed at reaching a compromise and rejecting any interference in Libya's domestic affairs.
The Libyan parliament backs Egypt's efforts to keep the unity of the Iraqi people and reconstruct the Libyan institutions, Saleh added.
