
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held a three-way meeting with his American and Jordanian counterparts John Kerry and Nasser Judeh on the fringe of his participation in The Review Conference of Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) held at the UN premises here.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ambassador Badr Abel Aati said the meeting covered a set of regional issues of common interest, especially the situation in the Middle East region, the impact of terrorism and its spread in the region as well as the efforts exerted by the international coalition against Daesh militant group.
Shoukry also held consultations with his American and Jordanian counterparts on the Palestinian issue and means of pushing it forward according to the international terms of reference and the Arab peace initiative.
The three top diplomats also tackled the Syrian crisis and means of working out a political solution as part of the recommendations of Geneva Conference-1.
The situation in Iraq and Libya also figured high on the talks.
